Objective
Pitch was initially appointed as the USGA’s media rights advisor for the Asian market and consequently its global media rights advisor worldwide in 2018, with a remit to maximise international media revenues and audience reach, increase coverage around ancillary events and provide best-in-class advisory services.

Approach
Prior to going to market with the USGA’s rights, Pitch produced market-by-market analysis & valuations based upon ground-up modelling, combined with strategic understanding of the market and knowledge of broadcaster appetite. Based on the findings and our expert knowledge of the rapidly changing golf media landscape, Pitch generated individual go-to-market sales strategy for the USGA.

Results
A successful sales execution with international revenues increasing by 58% from 2018, and a global audience for the 2022 men’s U.S. Open of 26.3 million.
