Pitchside Hospitality delivers 2023 PDC World Darts Championship to record numbers
Pitchside’s first year as exclusive providers of hospitality for the PDC World Darts Championship saw an unprecedented number of hospitality guests in attendance.
The pinnacle event of the 2023 darts calendar saw Alexandra Palace welcome over 5,500 guests into Pitchside’s hospitality areas, including well-known faces from the world of entertainment, sports and culture, across 16 days and 28 sessions of darts action.
With the story of 16-year-old Brit Luke Littler’s march to the final taking the country by storm, attending guests were able to watch from mere metres away as his fairy-tale run unfolded.
In addition to being one of the most memorable darts tournaments in PDC history, the Pitchside team delivered a new premium service for those in attendance. The experience included Michelin Star food from Adam Handling and Atul Kochhar, live DJ sets, exquisite hand-crafted cocktails and a 9-dart challenge - all whilst raising over £75,000 for Prostate Cancer and the Matchroom Foundation.
PDC Chief Executive, Matthew Porter, commented: "It was great to build on our existing relationship with Pitch International with a superb hospitality experience expertly delivered by Pitchside Hospitality. The hospitality space was beautifully presented and well received with our fans who enjoyed it in there. It was a strong start to this exciting new partnership and we are all looking forward to next year and where this collaboration can take us.”
Pitchside, the hospitality arm of Pitch International, became the PDC World Darts Championship’s exclusive and official hospitality partner after putting pen to paper on a five-year deal in early 2023. Tickets for 2024 are already generating significant interest.
