Pitch International joins with The Maxwell Family Genomics Fund for the Wales Coast Path Cancer Challenge

Written by Pitch

Pitch is proudly supporting The Craig Maxwell Family Foundation in its bid to raise valuable funds for the QuicDNA initiative to speed up cancer diagnosis in Wales. Starting on Valentine's Day and continuing throughout the Guinness Six Nations. Craig and friends will take on the stunning 780 mile hike for The Wales Coast Path Cancer Challenge.

Having worked with Craig for nearly two decades, we at Pitch have been inspired by his efforts to increase awareness and raise money for this incredible cause, after his life changed forever, aged 40, he was diagnosed with incurable and inoperable EGFR lung and bone cancer.

A contingent from Pitch will be on the journey for two sections in South Wales. A match ball will be carried the entire distance of the challenge, symbolising our collective fight against cancer, and it will culminate at the national stadium of Wales, the Principality Stadium on March 10th for the Wales vs. France Guinness Six Nations match, where Craig accompanied by his children, Isla and Zach, will carry the match ball onto the pitch.
